Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center - native-plant research and garden

Founded in 1982 as the National Wildflower Research Center and later renamed for Lady Bird Johnson, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is dedicated to the conservation and study of native plants and landscapes. The center combines public gardens, plant conservation, and scientific research focused on native species of North America and hosts educational programs and native-plant demonstrations. It is operated by The University of Texas at Austin and serves as a regional hub for native-plant restoration and landscaping practices.
