Dalhousie University Arena

The Dalhousie Memorial Arena, once a 1,280-seat multi-purpose venue in Halifax, Nova Scotia, served as the home for the Dalhousie University Tigers hockey team until its demolition in 2012. Originally opened in 1950 as the Dalhousie Memorial Rink, it commemorated students who fought in the world wars and hosted the Tigers' only AUS Championship win in 1978. A new arena, the Oulton-Stanish Centre, is currently under construction on the same site, with a budget of $36.5 million and expected completion in late 2025. The new facility will feature seating for 900, locker rooms, food services, and a physiotherapy clinic, making it a modern hub for sports and community events.
