Bazar Square (Old City)

Bazar Square, also known as the Khanqah complex, is a historic religious-architectural site located in the Old City of Baku, Azerbaijan. Dating back to the XII-XIII centuries, this complex features an arcade and was recognized as a national architectural monument in 2001. Discovered during archaeological excavations in 1964, it includes 52 graves believed to belong to individuals who wished to be buried in sacred places. The site reflects its historical significance as a pilgrimage destination, with notable structures such as a cylindrical well and a large eight-pointed column.
