Rick Perry surrender and booking after 2014 indictment

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry turned himself in to the Travis County Sheriff's Office at the Travis County Courthouse in Austin on August 15, 2014 after a Travis County grand jury returned an indictment related to his veto of funding for the Public Integrity Unit. He was formally booked at the courthouse facility. A state judge later dismissed the indictment in January 2016 and the case did not result in a criminal conviction.
