McNay Art Museum

The McNay Art Museum opened in 1954 in the former mansion of Marion Koogler McNay and is recognized as the first modern art museum in Texas. Its collections include 19th- and 20th-century European and American works, modern and contemporary art, and a notable collection of Latin American art displayed across galleries and outdoor sculpture gardens. The museum occupies a multi-acre campus with landscaped grounds and exhibition spaces.
