Treberfydd

Treberfydd House is a stunning Gothic Revival residence located near Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Built between 1847 and 1850 by architect John Loughborough Pearson for Robert Raikes, the house is a Grade I listed building and remains a private home for the Raikes family. The architecture features intricate details influenced by Augustus Pugin, including gargoyles, gables, and stained glass windows. The estate is surrounded by 11 acres of landscaped gardens, which are also recognized for their historical significance. Treberfydd has been a backdrop for BBC's Doctor Who, adding to its allure for visitors. Although primarily a private residence, the house opens to the public for limited weeks each summer, offering a glimpse into its rich history and architectural beauty.
