NASCAR culture and the Hall of Fame

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is located in Uptown Charlotte and is a downtown attraction that documents the sport's history. The Charlotte region is home to many NASCAR teams, shops, and racing-related businesses clustered in and around the city and nearby Concord. Because of the sport's local prominence, residents commonly joke that they can name a race car driver more easily than local politicians.
