New Frontier (imploded former resort site)

The New Frontier Hotel and Casino, which had operated on the Strip for many decades, closed and was demolished by implosion in 2007. The removal of the resort's structures left a vacant lot for years while various redevelopment plans were proposed. The implosion marked the end of one of the Strip's long‑running midcentury resorts.
