William J. Braitsch and Company Plant

The William J. Braitsch and Company Plant, located at 472 Potters Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, is a historic industrial building constructed in 1892 that significantly contributed to the city's silversmithing industry. Designed by architect George W. Cady, this three-story masonry structure features distinctive architectural elements such as segmented-arched windows and a gabled roof. Originally a manufacturing facility for jewelry components, it later housed the Colonial Laundry until 1965. The plant was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in industrial history and architecture.
