Shrine Building (Memphis, Tennessee)

The Shrine Building, constructed in 1923 in downtown Memphis, served as the headquarters for the Al Chymia Shrine, a notable group of Shriners. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The building showcases the architectural talents of Jones & Furbringer and Hanker & Cairns. After its initial use, it was transformed into apartments in 1981 and later converted into 75 condominium units in 2005, making it a unique blend of history and modern living.
