Cullands Grove

Cullands Grove, also known as Cannon's, was a grand country house and estate located in Southgate, Middlesex, built on the former woodland of Gullands Grove. Renowned for its extravagant banquets hosted by Sir William Curtis, 1st Baronet, the estate featured a remarkable wine cellar and a unique kitchen gallery for guests to observe meal preparations. After Curtis's death in 1829, the estate's contents, including an impressive collection of wines, were auctioned off over a week. By 1840, the estate was merged into the Grovelands estate, leading to the demolition of the house. Today, the site is a historical point of interest for visitors exploring the rich heritage of Middlesex.
