LOVE Park skateboarding lore

John F. Kennedy Plaza (commonly called LOVE Park) was a legendary public skateboarding spot in the 1990s and early 2000s, attracting professional skateboarders and featuring in skate videos. City authorities later enacted restrictions on skateboarding at the plaza, and a subsequent redesign removed many of the ledges and features that made it a skate landmark.
