The Physick House - home of Dr. Philip Syng Physick

The Physick House, at 321 S 4th Street, is the preserved Philadelphia residence of Dr. Philip Syng Physick (1768–1837), a surgeon often called the 'father of American surgery.' The house is operated as a historic house museum and interprets Physick's life, medical innovations, and practice in early 19th-century Philadelphia.
