Painted Ladies and the Full House house myth

The row of Victorian houses known as the Painted Ladies at Alamo Square is often thought to be the Tanner family home from the TV show Full House; the houses do appear in the show's opening credits. Interior scenes for Full House were filmed on soundstages in Los Angeles, and the specific interior of the Tanner home was not inside any Painted Lady; the association is therefore a matter of exterior depiction in the credits rather than an actual filming location for the show's interiors. The Painted Ladies remain an iconic, frequently photographed San Francisco streetscape.
