West Virginia Building

The West Virginia Building, the tallest structure in Huntington, West Virginia, was completed in 1924 in a Renaissance Revival style. Originally serving as the Union Bank and Trust Company, it faced challenges after the 1929 stock market crash. The building later housed a Walgreens Drug Store and became a temporary location for WSAZ television station in 1949. After various renovations, it was transformed into upscale luxury apartments in 2013, featuring a striking LED lighting system that changes colors for special events, making it a notable landmark in the city.
