Freeway Park cascades

Freeway Park is an elevated public park built over Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle that opened in 1976. Its terraced layout incorporates reflecting pools and cascading water features as prominent design elements. The cascades run along the park's central promenade and were included in the original construction to provide a landscaped, calming corridor above the freeway. Freeway Park is owned and operated by the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation.
