Ecotrust's Natural Capital Center (adaptive reuse and green retrofit)

The Natural Capital Center at 721 NW 9th Ave is a rehabilitated historic warehouse that became home to Ecotrust and multiple environmental and social-enterprise organizations. The project is widely cited as an early example in Portland of sustainable adaptive reuse and green building practices applied to an existing urban commercial structure. The building houses offices, meeting spaces, and programmatic tenants focused on conservation and community development.
