Gov. David S. Reid House

The Gov. David S. Reid House, built around 1881, is a historic Late Victorian style residence located in Reidsville, North Carolina. This two-story T-shaped dwelling features a distinctive gable roof, a hipped roof entrance porch, and original rear kitchen wing. It served as the home of North Carolina Governor David Settle Reid until his death in 1891, and his widow lived there until 1913. Recognized for its historical significance, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and is situated within the Reidsville Historic District, making it an intriguing site for both tourists and researchers interested in the state's political history and architectural heritage.
