Lone Oaks

Lone Oaks, also known as the Benjamin Deyerle Place and Winsmere, is a historic Greek Revival mansion located in Roanoke, Virginia. Completed in 1850, this architectural gem is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. The mansion features a striking L-shaped design with a Doric entrance portico and retains many original elements. The property includes several intriguing outbuildings, such as a two-story spring house, slave quarters, a smokehouse, and a unique privy, each reflecting the historical context of the 19th century.
