Kaullen Mercantile Company

The Kaullen Mercantile Company, also known as the Ben Derkum Store Property, is a historic commercial building located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Constructed in 1896 and expanded in 1923, this 2+1⁄2-story brick structure features an L-shaped design with a hipped roof and dormers. It served as a grocery store for nearly five decades before transitioning to marine retail services until 1977. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, making it a noteworthy site for tourists and researchers interested in local commerce history.
