Project Row Houses

Project Row Houses is a community-based arts and cultural organization in Houston’s Third Ward founded in 1993 that repurposed a block of shotgun houses into artist residences and community spaces. The project combines public art, affordable housing, and social services and is credited with helping spark neighborhood revitalization and national attention for community arts practice. It operates exhibition spaces, residency programs, and youth education initiatives from its campus of renovated houses.
