David Yeiser House

The David Yeiser House, located in Paducah, Kentucky, is a historic residence built in the 1850s and notable for its Greek Revival architecture. Once home to the city's mayor, David A. Yeiser, the house played a significant role in Paducah's civic development, including the introduction of sewers and electric lights. It stands on a battlefield site from the Civil War, making it one of the few surviving pre-war structures in the area. The house was previously a museum dedicated to Alben W. Barkley, a Paducah native and Vice President of the United States, showcasing artifacts related to his life. Although the museum has since closed, the house remains a significant historic site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973.
