Benjamin Horr House

The Benjamin Horr House, also known as the Standard Printing Company, is a historic site located in Hannibal, Missouri. Built around 1855, this two-story brick structure showcases vernacular Greek Revival architecture and features a distinctive front gable roof. Notably, it is the earliest surviving building used for educational purposes in Hannibal, having once served as a private school operated by the family of a teacher who influenced the famous author Mark Twain. The house was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
