Seattle Japanese Garden in Washington Park Arboretum

The Seattle Japanese Garden is a 3.5-acre traditional Japanese garden within the Washington Park Arboretum that opened in 1960. It was designed by Japanese landscape architect Juki Iida and features ponds, stone lanterns, and a teahouse used for cultural programming. The garden is managed by the Seattle Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Japanese Garden Society and hosts seasonal events such as cherry-blossom viewing and Japanese tea ceremonies.
