Circle Court, Johannesburg

Circle Court is a historic residential building located in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, designed in 1936 by the Obel brothers, known for their Art Deco architectural style. Once surrounded by the iconic Clarendon circle, featuring lush greenery and palm trees, the area has evolved since the introduction of traffic lights in 1959. Notably, one of the architects, Louis Obel, resided in this building until his passing in 1956, adding a personal touch to its rich history.
