Petersen House (House Where Lincoln Died)

The Petersen House is the boarding house where President Abraham Lincoln was taken after being shot at Ford's Theatre and where he died on the morning of April 15, 1865. The building is preserved as part of the Ford's Theatre National Historic Site and interpreted to show the death room and period furnishings.
