Libby's Colonial Tea Room

Libby's Colonial Tea Room, located in Wells, Maine, is a historic building dating back to 1922, originally serving as a restaurant. It now houses the Johnson Hall Museum, showcasing Americana. The building is a rare example of 1920s automobile-related tourist accommodations and features distinctive architectural elements such as a broad low-pitch roof and Tuscan columns. Notably, it hosted Franklin Delano Roosevelt during his 1932 presidential campaign. Although it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, the museum's future is uncertain following the founder's passing and the auctioning of its contents.
