Vincent Forge Mansion

The Vincent Forge Mansion, located in East Vincent Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, is a historic house dating back to circa 1770. Originally serving as the home and office of the forgemaster John Young at an 18th-century iron forge, the mansion features a distinctive 2+1⁄2-story stone structure with a gable roof. The property, which operated as a forge from 1760 to 1800, later transitioned into a farmhouse and was sold to the Catholic Church in 1925 for use as a boys' summer camp until its closure in the late 1970s. The mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
