Tackley Farm

Tackley Farm, also known as Valley View, is a historic Greek Revival farmhouse located near Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia. The property has a rich history dating back to 1777 when it was leased by Michael Blue from Colonel Richard Blackburn, who originally acquired the land in 1754. Michael Blue, a veteran of the foot Army in Delaware, later purchased the property in 1795. The current structure was built in 1840 by Blue's son, Joel, and features architectural similarities to the nearby Belvedere house. This site offers a glimpse into early American history and architecture, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
