Project Row Houses

Project Row Houses is a community-based arts organization in Houston’s Third Ward that began in 1993 by converting a block of shotgun houses into artist residences, galleries, and social programs. The site operates across a cluster of rehabilitated houses on a residential street, making the work easy to miss for passersby unfamiliar with the neighborhood. Project Row Houses combines contemporary art exhibitions with long-term community initiatives focused on housing, education, and cultural preservation.
