Old Red Museum (Dallas County History & Culture)

The Old Red Museum is housed in the restored 1892 Dallas County Courthouse, a Romanesque Revival building that was converted into a history museum and reopened to the public in 2007. The museum presents permanent and temporary installations documenting Dallas County’s history, including multimedia exhibits on civic development, law, and local culture. The courthouse building itself is a preserved architectural installation and local landmark at the edge of Dealey Plaza.
