The Arcade

The Arcade in downtown Columbus was completed in 1890–1891 and is one of the country's earliest indoor shopping arcades, featuring a central skylit atrium with retail spaces on multiple levels. Over its history the building has housed shops, offices, and restaurants and has been preserved and restored as a historic landmark within the downtown streetscape. It remains a visible example of late 19th-century commercial architecture in Columbus.
