Inverturret

Inverturret, located at 7 Gallop Road within the Singapore Botanical Gardens, is a historic bungalow that has served various significant roles, including as the residence of the Air Officer Commanding the Far East Air Force and the French consul-general. Completed in 1906 and designed by architect Regent Alfred John Bidwell, the building features elegant wrap-around verandahs, a grand staircase, and exquisite Carrara marble flooring. In 2021, it was transformed into the Forest Botanical Art Gallery, showcasing over 2,000 botanical artworks, making it a must-visit for art and nature enthusiasts. The site is part of the Gallop Extension, which emphasizes conservation and heritage, having received architectural awards for its restoration.
