Information Sciences and Technology Building

The Westgate Building, formerly known as the Information Sciences and Technology Building, is an architectural marvel located at Pennsylvania State University in University Park. Completed in January 2004 and designed by renowned architect Rafael Vinoly, the building features a unique S-shape inspired by the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. It houses the Computer Science and Engineering Department and the College of IST. Notably, the building has no main entrance and was only recently assigned a street address. In 2017, it was renamed to better reflect its diverse functions, making it a significant landmark for visitors and researchers alike.
