Milton-Bradley Company (building)

The Milton-Bradley Company, a historic former factory complex in Springfield, Massachusetts, was established around 1880 and expanded over the years to encompass a full city block. Originally owned by George Tapley, a friend of toy pioneer Milton Bradley, the factory was pivotal in the toy and game manufacturing industry, featuring a lithographic print shop. After relocating its operations in the 1960s, the site was transformed into residential housing in the late 1970s and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Visitors can explore the U-shaped collection of brick buildings, notable for their architectural features such as segmented-arch windows and parapets, located just south of downtown Springfield.
