Belmont Mansion (Italianate 19th-century estate)

Belmont Mansion was built in the 1850s as the center of Adelicia Acklen's Belmont estate and is an example of antebellum Italianate residential architecture in Nashville. The house retains original and period furnishings and architectural details such as bracketed eaves and a central belvedere. The property is now preserved as a house museum and is located on the campus of Belmont University. Tours interpret the mansion's architectural features and the estate's 19th-century history.
