Walker Home for Missionary Children

The Walker Home for Missionary Children is a historic boarding house complex located in Auburndale village, Newton, Massachusetts. Established to care for the children of religious missionaries, it features eight buildings, including the Harding House, built around 1850. The main structure, designed in the Colonial Revival style by architects Coolidge & Carlson, was constructed after a fire in 1911. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, the site now serves as the Walker Center, offering conference and lodging facilities, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
