Archived North Texas 'chupacabra' news reports at Dallas Public Library

During the 1990s and 2000s, Dallas-area newspapers published reports of alleged 'chupacabra'-style livestock attacks and mysterious carcass discoveries in North Texas. Copies of these contemporary news articles and related local coverage are preserved in the Dallas Public Library's newspaper and microfilm archives. Follow-up reporting and statements by wildlife officials often attributed the incidents to known predators or other causes, and the 'chupacabra' identification remained disputed.
