Wanamaker Grand Court Organ - large functioning pipe organ

The Wanamaker Grand Court Organ, located in the Wanamaker Building (now Macy's Center City), is one of the largest fully functional pipe organs in the world and has been a local musical landmark since installation in the early 20th century. The organ is used for regular recitals and is a featured element of the department store's annual Christmas light show, a long-running local seasonal tradition. The instrument and its concerts are frequently attended by residents as well as visitors to Center City Philadelphia.
