247 Cherry

247 Cherry is an ambitious 79-story residential skyscraper currently under development in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS Development Group, this striking building aims to enhance the urban landscape alongside other nearby skyscrapers. Although its development faced legal challenges and community opposition, it has received approval from the City Planning Commission and has plans for significant improvements to the surrounding area, including enhanced subway access and flood-resistance upgrades. This project represents a significant addition to Manhattan's skyline and urban infrastructure.
