W. T. Waggoner Building

The W. T. Waggoner Building is a historic skyscraper located at 810 Houston Street in Fort Worth, Texas. Constructed between 1919 and 1920 for William Thomas Waggoner, it stands 230 feet tall with twenty floors and was designed by the architectural firm Sanguinet & Staats. Originally serving as the home of Continental National Bank until 1957, the building underwent significant renovations, including a major remodel in 2018 that preserved its historic facade while modernizing its infrastructure. It officially reopened as a Sandman Signature Hotel in April 2023. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979, highlighting its architectural and historical significance. However, it recently faced challenges, including a natural gas explosion in January 2024 that injured 21 people.
