Eothen (Warhol estate)

Eothen is a historic oceanfront property located in Montauk, New York, originally built in the 1930s and known for its association with pop artist Andy Warhol. The estate features five Colonial Revival-style cottages and spans 20 acres of scenic land. Warhol purchased the property in 1971, hosting numerous celebrities including Jackie Kennedy and The Rolling Stones. In 1992, part of the estate was donated to create the Andy Warhol Preserve, which now offers an educational nature trail. The estate has changed hands several times, with its rich history and artistic legacy making it a notable site for visitors and researchers alike.
