Captain Freese House

The Capt. Freese House, built in 1853 and located on Sycamore St. in Louisa, Kentucky, is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988. This Antebellum Vernacular architecture reflects the early settlement and agricultural practices of the area, as it was part of a farm that utilized the Big Sandy River for crop export. Notably, the house was prepared to function as a hospital during the American Civil War, although it was never used for that purpose, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in local history.
