The Ard

The Ard is an ambitious 36-storey high-rise currently under construction in Blythswood Hill, Glasgow, set to become the tallest habitable building in Scotland upon its completion in 2028. Originally proposed as a co-living space, the project has evolved to focus on student accommodation, with plans emphasizing sustainability and high-quality design. The site previously housed Portcullis House, a Brutalist office building, which is being partially demolished to make way for the new structure. The development aims to enhance the urban landscape and activate the surrounding area, contributing to Glasgow's city centre regeneration efforts.
