Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America

The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America in Brookland opened to the public in 1899 and is operated by the Franciscan Friars. The complex includes the Church of St. Jerome, cloisters, extensive gardens, and reproductions of shrines from the Holy Land, including a replica of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The monastery houses mosaics and artifacts imported from Europe and the Middle East and offers guided tours and regular public liturgies.
