Borden Farm (Portsmouth, Rhode Island)

Borden Farm is a historic site located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, encompassing 6.2 acres of land that features five significant buildings, including a Second Empire main house built in 1865 by William Borden. The property, which was once part of a larger 44-acre farm, has been in the Borden family since the early 1700s. Notable structures include an English barn from around 1890, as well as a workshop, granary, and wellhouse from the early 1900s. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
