Chamizal boundary dispute resolution site

The Chamizal dispute between the United States and Mexico arose from shifts in the Rio Grande that changed the international boundary through the El Paso–Juárez area. The 1963 Chamizal Convention and subsequent land transfers resolved the century‑long dispute and returned portions of the contested tract to Mexico. The Chamizal National Memorial on the U.S. side commemorates the agreement and interprets the area's bicultural history.
