Palazzo Pratonieri

The Palazzo Pratonieri is a striking eclectic building located in the historic center of Reggio Emilia, Italy. Originally commissioned in the 16th century by the Pratonieri family, it showcases a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles on its facade, with interior decor influenced by the Liberty style. The building underwent significant renovations in the early 1900s under the artistic direction of painter Gaetano Chierici. After suffering earthquake damage in 2006, it was abandoned until a refurbishment in 2016. Notable features include unique busts above the first-floor windows and decorative tiles with bee symbols, reflecting its connection to the Unicredit bank that currently owns it.
