Pueblo Grande Museum – Hohokam stone artifacts and mound

Pueblo Grande Museum & Archaeological Park preserves a Hohokam platform mound and archaeological deposits dating roughly 450–1450 CE that include worked stone tools, grinding stones, and rock-related construction features. Excavations at the site exposed compacted earth and stone elements of the prehistoric village and irrigation systems, which are interpreted in the on-site museum. The site is a primary local repository of Hohokam lithic (stone) artifacts and rock-built features in Phoenix.
