The Brook (New York City)

The Brook is an exclusive private club located at 111 East 54th Street in Manhattan, New York City, founded in 1903 by prominent men from other elite clubs. Its name, inspired by a poem by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, reflects the club's intention to provide continuous service and a space for ongoing conversation. Originally limited to 100 members by private invitation, the club has seen its membership grow to around 400 men by 1954, including notable figures such as John Jacob Astor IV, Michael R. Bloomberg, and Henry Kissinger. The club's building, designed by the renowned architecture firm Delano & Aldrich, was completed in 1925.
